Our Story?
They broke our strongholds
Many years past
In order to bring back
What they wanted to begin with
They wished for peace
But how could peace survive
When we did not know
How to treat our own brothers?
So they broke our strongholds
Destroyed what we called our homes
Tore apart what we had made
Made us start from the beginning
They blessed those we saw as less than us
But what good would that do?
When they are free to their own wills
What good will the blessing of their songs be for us?
They broke our strongholds
They brought us together
But to what avail,
Since our minds remain the same?
For our benefit…
