Breeze walked further into the woods. The tall pines loomed above his head. He felt something ontop of his head and shook it off. "Stupid rain."he said padding onward. He heard the drum of the rain pouding on the pines above and sometimes a drop or two landed on him. He finally arrived at the lake. "I wonder why I don't smell Midnight Pack..."he said. Usaully Midnight Pack were always at this lake. But oh well, they didn't come too bad. He looked around and found a small cave. "Looks dry enough to me." he mumbled walking toward it. He brown black coat was sleeked aganist his body. He shook it to dry it somewhat and then curled in the cave hoping to get a good nap before moving on.

Chocolate Blossom lay in a small ditch, waiting for someone in her pack to find her. "Mommy, I miss you..." she whispered, her eyes begining to close. he wanted to get Midnight Pack, but, alas, she could not. She could barely move she was so hungry. She lay in the ditch again and began to whine.

Breeze heard a tiny whimpering. "What is it?" Breeze said lifting his head and shaking the tiny drops of rain off it.

Chocolate Blossom looked up. "Breeze, I'm hungry," she whispered, pressing her head into his damp fur. Her brownish red fur glistened in the rain as she whimpered again.

Great. I'm pup feeding. But it's a pretty harsh day. he thought. "What for?" he asked. "I'll go catch us a few things." he said looking into the pups eyes. Glad I'm not stuck with her. he thought. She would have me doing everything under the sun for her!

Chocolate Blossom nodded and, careful not to disturb his hunting, she lay in the ditch again, waiting, then she whispered, "Whatever you can," when she heard him ask.

"Ok" Breeze said. He wandered a couple leaps away and raised his head to the sky. "Stupid rain." he growled softly. Concentrating he sensed a mouse. Putting his paws carefully in front of him he leapt and caught it. He picked it up and brought it back to Chocolate Blossom. Going back once more he went and sensed a rabbit. He ran fast and caught it too. "No other prey is too stupid to be out in this weather." hemumbled carrying his prey back.

Chocolate Blossom lay there and saw him coming back. "Thanks, Breeze!" she said when he passed her a mouse. She ate it slowly, then lay on her back beside Breeze. "Where's the rest of the pack?" she asked after she lapped up some rain from a puddle.

"I'm not with a pack." he growled. "You should know that." He sat down and started eating his rabbit in some ravenous gulps.
