The Company has no name; the officials in it have made sure of that. People just named it The Company for lack of any other way to refer to it. It is totally unknown to the entire world except those who are regulars of the City.
Should you write about it in your blog, or send a text message or email about it- even regular mail- it will mysteriously vanish with seconds. One wonders why they take such lengths to stay secret- but no answers are available, no matter how hard you search.
The Company is known to secretly cooperate with the United States government to remove its every trace of existence. It is not known how exactly they manage to keep the government's efforts on this; some say they offer the president shelter in national emergencies and others say that The Company is blackmailing them somehow.
The only time you ever see evidence of the Company is when a serviceman works on a server computer or you go by the help desks.
All that is known for sure is that they maintain the Underground City, and that they are affiliated with the Pokémon Company in some way.
For in this crazy world of technology and virtual realities, anything is possible. And now, even Pokémon can become a reality.
