Kiapt looked across the vast ocean from where she sat on the dock. I wonder how long it would take to swim across that. she thought. It would take a long time surely. No dog, well sane dog, would actually try such a journey. And what would they even find? deserted land? it just didn't seem worth it to try.
She stared her blue eyes matching the deep depths of the ocean. She layed down her head on her paws. No dog would bother her most likely. Not here. Almost no dog even bothered to come here anymore. So why should they come here now? Oh well if they did. Kiapt was friendly. And she hadn't had a good talk with a dog in a while.
If a dog came let them come. Plus maybe she would make a friend. That hadn't happended in a while. Not that she wasn't friendly, but almost no dog found her. If they did find her they thought she was trying to take territry of something.

The slight chill in the air caused Zarcoqi to shiver. The wind was blowing slightly, darker clouds in the air. Rain It hadn't started yet but it sure looked as if it would. Zarcoqi was searching frantically for cover, getting Himself lost in the Human town which eventually led to a place that smelt strongly of fish. He could hear waves crashing in the distance and the squawks of Pelicans flying in the air. The German Hunt Terrier barked wildly and jumped at the birds, nowhere close to reaching them but the thrill was to much for Him. His tail was wagging as the birds flew off and He started running around looking for a box or the sorts.
A strange smell loomed near by. Zarcoqi had smelt it before. From a distance. Sometimes Her smelled it in the abandoned houses inside huge tanks of water. But it didn't smell of water, fishy and salty. He curiously rounded the corner and stood there in amazement. A large swimming pool laid before Him. Zarcoqi ran up to it, yipping happily. But He noticed it was huge, endlessly going on, forever and ever. Should He swim across it? Was it worth it? What would He find? All these questions floated around in His mind till a familiar scent passed under His nose. Dog! He scanned the sea and spotted nothing but when He ran onto a large wooden platform to look farther into the sea He spotted a dog a little, smaller then Him. Zarcoqi ran up in front of the dog, finding out it was a she. His tongue hanged out of His mouth as He excitedly barked "Hey"

Kiapt smelt a familar scent drifting toward her on a light breeze. Dog. She instantly knew what it was. She stood up and turned around to face a little black brown dog. "Hi!" she barked wagging her tail. It'd been a while since somebody had actually come here. She sat down on the wooden planks that made up the dock as a light wind blew her fur back.
Her blue eyes were friendly. Well they usaully weren't. Unless you were on the verge of killing her. Then she could show some anger. But not when a friendly dog showed up. She always loved company. She actually hated the opposite of being alone. Endlessly alone. She hated the very thought.

Zarcoqi's tail was wagging at the speed of light as the dog spoke back to Him, happy and content. "I'm Zarcoqi" He introduced Himself while smiling. He hadn't much practice with His social skills since He had no one to talk to so He hoped that He wouldn't make a fool out of Himself. "Wait here" He barked and ran off. Moments later He appeared with a small dead rabbit. "Delicious" He said as He nudged it towards Her with modest eyes. He was so happy He could do service for someone, show them His skills and make them happy. "Yes?" He panted excitedly.

Kiapt kept wagging her tail her blue eyes shining. "Wait here" she heard. She stoof up and shook her fur as she saw Zaroqi come back around the corner with a small rabbit. Wow. He must be a good hunter. she thought. Zaroqi nudged the rabbit toward her. "Delicious" he said. She took a small bite of the rabbit and her eyes lighted up. Swallowing it she nodded. "This was a great catch!" she barked.

Chayton walked along the beach, using his good ear, he listened for anything suspicious. Chayton was born with a left blue eye. He was born deaf in his left ear because of that blue eye. He was always worried that he might get attacked when he wasn't paying attention. He always walked carefully, and kept his fangs sharp. His tan and white fur was being ruffled by the breeze. He would have to groom it again.... great. Nothing better than sitting in dirty sand while trying to groom a long, thick-furred coat. Joy. Chayton walked along for a few pawsteps and heard noise in the distance. He flicked his good ear up, and started to sniff he air. Good. Just two other dogs. Thankfully not a cruel dogcatcher like his previous owner. Chayton shuddered at the thought. He decided that before he started to walk in the direction of the scent, he would groom his dirty fur. He was in shambles. Ah, there was worse on the Iditarod Trail. He began to lick himself, all the while listening with his good ear for sounds in the distance.

Petal began to walk out of the forest, whispering to herself with a nonchalant smile. She listened, her highly equipt sense of hearing heard both Chayton's footsteps and the two talking on the docks. She took a moment to look at the ocean, her eyes soft. She smiled happily as she perked her ears, hearing far, far away. It was the sound of a dog catcher. It could have been coming this away. She would have warned the others, but noone ever listened to her. Noone ever listened to her, even if she was right. She began to pad closer to the beach, careful not to be seen by any other dogs. She looked up into the sky and whispered, "Don't let me be seen now." She down to her paws then looked straight, not seeing anyone. But, she could hear them talking in the distance. A breeze began to start as she pushed her ears down to cover them.
